Less than 4 months to go!!!! I still can’t believe how quickly the time is flying and how quickly this little girl is taking up my entire body. I know I will look back on this post when I am 9 months preggo and think, “oh if I could only be that small again” but for now it just feels so strange to be this differently sized. I managed to get my hands on a pair of awesome maternity jeans. Leave it to my silly body to only fit into designer jeans, but at least they fit! (and i got em on ebay for a steal!)

My best friend Shelly and her husband Matt (our role model parents) have a slight obsession with rescuing little tiny animals and then trying to get me to take them home. Their latest rescue, a little 4 week old black and white baby girl kitten was just too hard to resist. Although it took a lot of begging and pleading, Jon and I finally agreed that we could take this little girl into our home. She arrives July 11th from Jacksonville, Florida. I cannot wait!
Our little kicker was a movin and a shakin today. So much so that it was hard to find her heartbeat at first. Luckily she flipped around just in time for us to capture that wonderous sound. I am rocking some awesome neck skin in the beginning there! We playfully refer to those at “neck-furters”.
Well folks, I’m more than half done cooking a small child in my proverbial oven. I can’t seem to believe it myself. Jon and I rewarded ourselves for all this hard work with a trip to the shore. Here is what the shore rewarded me with:
I slathered up with SPF 50 and still managed to lose my battle with the sun. I think the trick will be to either 1. stay out of the sun or 2. reapply VERY frequently.
Jon’s family owns a house in Longport, NJ just one block from the beach and now that we have time, we are going to start visiting as often as possible. This past weekend Jon’s Aunt, Uncle and Cousins were down. Jon’s cousin Lauren and her husband Mike just got a new boxer puppy. He is 11 weeks old and just the cutest thing ever!

I was at a trade show for work this week in Atlantic City. After I was bored and disappointed by seeing all the same old promotional products I decided to check out the myriad of outlet and regular retail shops just a stone’s throw from the convention center. I found myself in Old Navy just wandering aimlessly about when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, all of these adorable little baby clothes ended up in my arms. I’m not exactly sure how it all happened but everything was on SUPER sale so I decided it was OK. By far, my favorite item purchased is the adorable pair of boots with the fleecy-fur (all man made material of course) lining. They are so soft and I would love a pair for myself. I tried to be mindful of the fact that this time next year people won’t be as excited to buy us baby things by purchasing the majority of the items in size 6-12 months. Those boots however, will be worn right away, I just couldn’t delay the gratification for that one!
