Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!  We hope that you all had a safe and festive holiday.  We had a blast.  On Christmas day we went over to the Aldinger’s for a lovely dinner.  We were visited by Santa towards the end of the night!  It was such a surprise and we are so excited to make his visit a tradition throughout the years!  After our visit from Mr. Hohoho we drove over to see Matt and Shelly as we always do at some point on Christmas.  We had a great end to the evening opening presents with them and sharing stories of our crazy lives.  After that we headed over to my parent’s house where we camped out for the next two days.  It was INCREDIBLE!  Jon and I got a much needed break from 24/7 baby care.  My parents really stepped up to the plate and made sure we got the rest we have been craving for the past couple of months.  We came back home last night and poor Jon woke up this morning with a wicked stomach flu.  Now, to top it all off, the stinkin cat is in heat.  It’s been an interesting day to say the least.  I am just now finding a moment of peace as no one is puking, crying, or meowzering!

Here are a bunch of pictures from the past few day’s adventures.  Enjoy!!

Elzie meets Santa for the first time and sleeps through the whole thing!

Realizing that she was missing it all, and that Santa’s beard was falling off, Elzie made an attempt to wake up!

Attempt failed…right back to sleep!

We even tried to entice her with a story but she insisted on sleeping!

Our Christmas Cutie

I couldn’t resist a little photo shoot in this outfit!

I scored the dress at Ross for $3 and the tights at Target for $1.  There’s nothing I love more than a bargain!

Here we are at Shelly’s Parent’s house.  I couldn’t help posting all of these little family shots because Elzie’s faces are so hilarious!

This is by far the funniest I have ever seen her look!  She discovered her tongue recently so now she sticks it out as often as possible.

I’m not sure why her tights are not on in these pics :)

We join in the face making!

Jon thought it would be funny to torment our poor girl.

Ok, in this picture she looks like some sort of weird muppet that I have seen somewhere but I can’t remember where.  Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so, can you leave a comment with what character it is?

Here my dad is enticing Elzie to make faces at him.

It worked, look at that huge smile!!!

Elzie was covered in milk, puke and poop.  We had to come up with something on the fly to bathe her in.  I scoured my rent’s basement and found this perfectly sized bowl.  I laughed and laughed when we put her in.  How flipping cute!

Today I put Elzie in the Bumbo for the first time.  She liked it down in the living room.

But then was unsure about it in the bedroom.

Then she decided she definitely didn’t like it in the bedroom!  Hopefully once she is a little older she will start to like it more!

Here we are playing a little “I’ll stick my tongue out if you will” game.  Elzie is getting very good at making me look like an idiot all of the time now instead of just some of the time!

I hope you enjoyed all of our photos from the holiday.  I will be posting videos soon!!

Weeks 5-6 Pictures

So it turns out that when you have a newborn you have very little time for website related things!  I have been trying on multiple occasions to get new pictures posted but obviously, to no avail!  Alas, here are some new pics of our hilarious little munchkin head and her fabulous family :)

Weeks 3 and 4 – Pictures Galore

My apologies for taking so long between posts, but as you can imagine, things have been crazy around here.  I can’t believe we are already entering the 2nd week in December!  Below are bunches of pictures from the past two weeks.

Here are a few from our first Thanksgiving adventure at Great Aunt Sandy’s house.  Elzie was such a trooper the whole day.  She was so excited to see so much of her family.

Since Elzie has so much hair, I find that hats look a little funny on her.  To make this hat look less weird, I added a little felt flower.  She loves wearing it!

On Saturday of last week we spent Thanksgiving #2 with Jon’s family where we had the great pleasure of burying the placenta!  It has been sitting in our fridge since the birth and it was starting to go bad…GROSS.  Below you can see the burial process.  The placenta now has a new home underneath a tree that was planted after Jon’s first Christmas.  It has been growing for the past 25 years so we thought what better place for the placenta than under a tree that was planted for Jon as a baby!

This week Elzie and I got to spend time with a friend of mine from college, Mackenzie and her daughter, Livy.  They brought with them some very sweet and generous presents for Elzie!  One of which was this shirt and hat!  How cute!  I managed to capture some of Elzie’s best faces while wearing this outfit.

Here’s Livy!  Isn’t she so super cute!  She is 9 months old and looks so much bigger than the little tiny Elzienug in the swing.

Today we were finally able to find some down time to relax and catch up on some sleep.  We also gave Elzie a bath because she was one stinky baby.  While Jon was changing her diaper this morning she managed to poop on herself not one, but two times!

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures!!!

3 Weeks Old!

Well I really can’t believe how quickly the past three weeks have flown by!  Elzie is doing great and getting bigger by the day.  She likes to spend most of her time either sleeping, eating, or making the most ridiculous faces ever (probably because she is trying to poop).  I have done my best to capture some of her best ones here!  I also scored some sweet Christmas Booties that I had to capture as well.  ENJOY!

Here is a video of Elzie making her favorite face of all!

Lots of Photos!

Wow, I can’t believe how quickly the time is just zipping by. I haven’t had a second of down time for the past two weeks and am now finally finding a second to get photos off my camera and onto the interwebs! Here are a bunch of photos from our adventures of the past week.

On Saturday we had the pleasure of attending Jon’s sister’s wedding.  Allison looked beautiful and she and Jay were both beaming all day long.  We managed to snap a few shots throughout the day! My favorite is the one where she is socking it to me in the jaw.  What a way to treat mom!

Monday the 17th was my grandmother’s 89th bday so I took Elzie to meet her great grandmother for the first time.  It was fantastic to watch mommom react to Elzie.  They loved each other so much!

Today I took Elzie on her first stroller ride.  She LOVED it.  Here she is in her cute little outfit and hat making some ridiculous faces as usual!

Liz and Jon did it. Now they are having a baby. They are not married. This is the website for their illegitimate child.
